This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Web Designer-Multimedia Level 1 Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a Web Designer-Multimedia Level 1 Certificate. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. The Web Designer-Multimedia Level I Certificate teaches the design and development of web sites for corporate, commercial and educational uses. Special emphasis is placed on incorporating multimedia elements to develop dynamic web sites. In addition to learning advanced HTML and page layout techniques, students learn basic client-side scripting. Classes also address networks, security, and legal issues as they relate to the internet. Courses that complete the Web Designer-Multimedia Level 1 Certificate are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
