Can I Transfer?
Our Associate of Applied Science degrees and certificates may not fully transfer to a four year college or university.
- If your goal is to transfer, you may want to explore our Core Corriculum and Transfer Pathways.
- You may also want to explore a transfer degree, like an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science.
- The classes you take will count towards a bachelor's degree and are designed to be accepted by any public college or university in Texas.
If you're not sure if this is the right choice for you, you can talk to a Pathway Specialist for guidance.

Offered at the Richland Campus in conjunction with Texas A&M University (Commerce), this articulated degree program prepares students for a seamless transfer to TAMU-Commerce's Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program. By completing this degree with no grade below a "C" and meeting all admissions requirements, students are eligible to apply for admission to TAMU-Commerce.
This program is ideal for students planning to transfer to TAMU-Commerce in Industrial Engineering. It requires a minimum of 60 credit hours, including specific courses, and a GPA of at least 2.00. Students must also meet Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements and complete at least 25% of the credit hours through instruction by Dallas College.
For detailed course requirements and to ensure a smooth transfer, students should work closely with an advisor or counselor.
