Biology is the natural science that involves the study of life and living organisms. Biologists study the structure, function, growth, origin, evolution and distribution of living organisms. Courses are offered for both science and non-science majors, with specific courses that may include nutrition and diet therapy, botany, environmental biology, anatomy and physiology, genetics and microbiology.
Biology courses are listed under the four-letter rubric (course prefix) BIOL. Nutrition and Diet Therapy courses may also fall under the Biology rubric. Note that all courses may not be offered at every Dallas College campus.
“As a LeCroy scholar, I learned to be bold and much more: Ask questions. Don't make assumptions. Be open-minded. Stick to your values but don't push those values on others. It now gives me the greatest pleasure to give that back as a mentor.” Read Mark Brown, Ph.D.'s story.
