Office of Experiential Learning

Welcome to the Office of Experiential Learning

The Office of Experiential Learning provides work-based learning for all seven academic schools across credit and noncredit offerings at Dallas College, supporting our students, community and industry partners.

All students at Dallas College are eligible for work-based learning opportunities.

Work-based learning provides each student with a well-planned, authentic experience, which is paired with student reflection to strengthen students' knowledge, skills and abilities that align with their career goals.

Because of our strategic partnerships, some work-based learning opportunities mean you can earn as you learn.

Most classes are offered through the schools, Career Services and work-based learning teams.

Students interested in work-based learning will need to:

  1. Complete the work-based learning application.
  2. Provide documentation for eligibility to work in the United States.
  3. Complete an assessment.

Dallas College has work-based learning opportunities and there are funds available to assist with enrolling in work-based learning opportunities. At Dallas College, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. The Office of Experiential Learning connects students with real-world experiences that build skills, foster personal growth, and prepare them for life after college.

Whether you're a student looking to gain hands-on experience, a faculty member wanting to integrate practical learning into your courses, or a community partner eager to collaborate, we're here to help bring learning to life.
