Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Dallas College is hosting a series of events to bring awareness and support to a topic that plagues many.

Suicidal thoughts can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, economic status or family background. Also, it is often an indication of an untreated mental health condition or other serious issue. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, Dallas College wants to provide the support and resources you need and assure you that you are not alone. View our Suicide Prevention website for additional resources.

Counseling and psychological services are available. Appointments with a counselor can be made online.

The events listed below are also a resource for anyone struggling personally or knows someone struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Employees interested in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training & certification, please visit the employee calendar on SharePoint (login required.)
