Student Leadership Institute Programs
Our free leadership programs give students the chance to develop these skills for personal and professional growth.
We enhance knowledge of leadership through the humanities, hands-on activities, dynamic speakers, conferences, and retreats.
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is an immersive week of hands-on service, leadership-building and relationship-building supplemented with education and reflection. Students have the chance to make an impact on communities around the U.S. and learn more about the challenges and opportunities facing the country.

Award Ceremony Break
The Award Ceremony is a celebratory event designed to recognize and honor the achievements and contributions of students on all seven Dallas College campuses.

Fall Leadership Conference
'Blazing New Paths as a Student Leader' Dallas College students are inspired to influence others toward achieving common goals of being a leader. We build students to become leaders who motivate, empower and inspire others.
Targets: ethical leadership, networking and relationships, ability to collaborate, emotional intelligence and adaptability
Student Leadership Institute Course
Develop personal, professional and communication skills through leadership training and self-discovery. This Hybrid Noncredit Class will offer a variety of content each semester. Students will receive special recognition upon completion of the course requirements. The Student Leadership Institute is open to all Dallas College students.

Summer Leadership Retreat
This event is designed to enhance student retention, participation, development, and growth. Our goal is to cultivate emerging student leaders, equipping them with the essential skills needed for future leadership roles and workforce readiness. The conference will be conducted in a workshop format over three days, featuring live educational sessions. Registration is required and open to all Dallas College credit and non-credit students.

Student leaders are selected from an application process within the 7 Dallas College campuses. Student ambassadors complete one semester of the Student Leadership Institute and exhibit leadership capabilities within their respective campuses. They serve as a guide within the OSLE office. They also get to travel to different conferences on professional development, communication and leadership skills.

Networking Mixer
Is hosted by Dallas College's Office of Student Life and Engagement! Connect with peers, faculty, and local professionals to build relationships and expand your network.
