Student Care Network

At Dallas College we care about you as a whole person, not just as a student.

After all, you need more than textbooks and tutoring to earn your college certificate or degree. You have physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and social needs too.

That's exactly why our Student Care Network exists.

Supporting the Whole You

The Student Care Network is a holistic network of care (both services and resources) committed to helping you meet all your needs.

Whether you need food, medical resources, legal aid, housing and rental assistance, scholarship information or mental health support, the Student Care Network can help you meet your needs.

Four Offices, One Purpose

Look behind the scenes and you'll see the Student Care Network is made up of four departments at Dallas College: Student Care CoordinationBasic Needs and Community ConnectionsCounseling and Psychological Services, and Health Services.  These offices and work closely together as a team to support the whole student.

The Student Care Network is the central and first point of contact for any Dallas College students who may have a personal, emotional or medical concern.

Student Care Coordinators assess each student's needs and explore resources within the Student Care Network and the North Texas community to facilitate connections for support.

It is important to note that Student Care Coordinators are not counselors or therapists (although they may refer a student to Counseling and Psychological Services).

Student Care Coordinators develop close, helping relationships with students while coaching them toward appropriate resources, self-care and self-advocacy.
