Third-Party Sponsorship
A third-party sponsored billing arrangement with Dallas College is one in which a company, agency or organization agrees to be billed for all or a portion of a student’s tuition.
How the Sponsored Billing Process Works
- The company or agency is set up as a sponsor in the Dallas College system. Questions about sponsor setup can be directed to SponsoredBilling@DallasCollege.edu. A signed W-9 is required.
- After you have registered for class and have submitted a Payment Request on the Amazon School Portal, send an email to SponsoredBilling@DallasCollege.edu to notify us. A Sponsored Billing team member will be able to view your Payment Request on the portal and will process a tuition sponsorship for all approved classes. You will be notified by email once your sponsorship has been processed.
- The student registers for classes.
- A billing authorization from the sponsor is received by Dallas College. The authorization can be a document such as a voucher or letter on company letterhead, or it may be an online authorization on a portal. It should include the student’s name and ID, the semester and the amount authorized. Approved classes may be listed.
- A Dallas College Sponsored Billing team member determines eligibility.
- A tuition sponsorship is processed to apply payment to the student’s account.
- After class begins, the sponsor is invoiced for the student’s tuition.
- If the sponsor does not pay the invoice in full, the student is responsible for the unpaid balance.
How to Get Started
- Send an email to SponsoredBilling@DallasCollege.edu to ask questions or to request tuition sponsorship. Include your student ID, the semester and your name.
- If you have a billing authorization (voucher, letter of credit, etc.), attach it to the email.
- If you are submitting a form that requires a signature, please sign before submitting.
- If you prefer to submit your billing authorization in-person, you may bring it to the Cashier at any of our campus locations.

Third-Party Billing FAQ’s
It is a document or online approval that authorizes Dallas College to bill your sponsor for your tuition. Types of authorizations include: Voucher, Letter of Credit, Payment Request, Purchase Order, Service Authorization, Financial Guarantee, Tuition Assistance Authorization, Intent to Pay, and letter on company letterhead.
A Sponsored Billing team member will review your authorization to verify the classes and amount that you are eligible to have sponsored, according to your authorization. You will be responsible for paying for any tuition or fees not covered by your sponsor.
A member of the Sponsored Billing team will send you an email message to notify you. You can log in to your e-Connect account and print a receipt (Registration Summary). If your tuition has been sponsored, you will see the amount of the sponsorship next to “Sponsor Billing.”
No, scholarships are handled through financial aid. You can contact them at FinancialAid@DallasCollege.edu.
No, you must pay your tuition by your payment deadline. Your employer will reimburse you after you complete your classes.
Send an email to SponsoredBilling@DallasCollege.edu to notify us of the dropped class.
Your sponsorship will be removed from your student account. This will likely result in a balance due on your account for which you are responsible. Non-payment of a student account balance results in prevention of registration and inability to receive a transcript.
