Starting college can feel overwhelming, but our Smart Start program will guide you through your first year.
You will receive personalized help and clear milestones to begin with confidence, stay on track, finish strong and have fun along the way.
Join us for our Smart Start kickoff pep rallies and other student events this Fall!
All first-year students are eligible for Smart Start benefits, which include:
- A first-year experience course
- Guided success planning and career-aligned program of study selection
- English and math academic support
- Meaningful connections and community
These opportunities are in addition to resources and support included with tuition for all students, such as a dedicated success coach, tutoring, mental health counseling, food and child care assistance, DART Transit Pass, career and transfer coaching and more.
