The Skills Development fund program at the Dallas College Garland Center provides customized job training programs for businesses who want to train new workers or upgrade the skills of their existing workforce.
Our Partners
The Skills Development Fund Grant is a partnership among the Dallas College Garland Center, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and our business partners in the community.
TWC pays for the training through the Skills Development Fund, the Garland Center administers the grant and provides the customized training programs, and local businesses create new jobs and improve the skills of their current workforce.
“Of the active team members we have sent through this grant training, 81% have received a pay increase since the start of the training.”
Upgrade Your Workplace Skills
Our training includes AutoCAD, electrical basics and troubleshooting, hydraulics, ARC Flash, motor controls, Lean Manufacturing, CPR, Microsoft Office, project management, Six Sigma Green Belt and leadership. We offer customized training plans and curriculum. Call us today!
