Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
Construction managers work in all phases of the construction business - public and private owners; small multi-family projects to the largest of skyscrapers and industrial projects; rural highways to major interstates. Whatever the project, CMs keep the project on track and within budget. Working closely with architects, engineers, owners and the various contractors on a job, the construction manager's duties are varied, challenging, and rewarding, both emotionally and financially. The Rising Construction Manager Level I Certificate will provide students with the foundational skills to continue working towards the Construction Management AAS. Courses that complete this certificate and the Rising Construction Manager Occupational Skills Award (OSA) are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
