Admission to the Advanced Technical Certificate Program is by completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Network Administrator and Support. This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Network Virtualization Advanced Technical Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a Network Virtualization Advanced Technical Certificate. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
This advanced certificate will examine introductory to complex virtualization concepts, configurations, and troubleshooting tools. Complementary industry skills include Advanced Linux administration, containerization, and cloud concepts. Upon completion of each VM course, the student will have acquired skills needed to prepare for certification exams to become VMWare VCP certified. Upon completion of each VM course (ITNW 1313 and ITNW 2355), the student is eligible to take the appropriate VCP (VMWare Certified Professional) credentialing exam. Courses that complete the Network Virtualization Advanced Technical Certificate are noted below.
