This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing a degree in Network Administrator and Support. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Information Technology–Network Administrator and Support, with a Microsoft Server Infrastructure Specialization. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official degree requirements.
The A.A.S. degree provides education and training for individuals interested in developing their knowledge and skills as networking professionals. Students may receive the Network Administrator and Support A.A.S. degree for only ONE specialization in either the CCNA Specialization or the Microsoft Server Infrastructure Specialization. This unique opportunity also provides preparatory training for a variety of industry recognized certification exams. Credit may be earned, and course substitutions are permitted for those who have acquired vendor certifications related to courses listed in the degree. A student must complete all courses in ONE specialization CCNA Specialization or Microsoft Server Infrastructure Specialization to be awarded the AAS in Network Administrator and Support. Courses that complete the degree and the Linux Skills Achievement Award (LA) are noted below.
