This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Electronics/Electro-Mechanical Mechatronics Technology Occupational Skills Award. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an occupational skills award in Mechatronics Technology. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. The Mechatronics Technology Occupational Skills Award is for individuals interested in working in the Manufacturing Industry as a technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain systems used in modern manufacturing. Students will be introduced to robotics, advanced manufacturing systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and industrial automation to acquire the skills needed in this industry. Courses that complete the Mechatronics Technology Occupational Skills Award are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
