This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Automotive Technology – High Performance Modification Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a High-Performance Modification Certificate. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. The High Performance Modification Certificate will prepare students for entry-level positions as automotive technicians addressing high performance engine maintenance and repair. The program will present theory, hands on experience and the opportunity to learn how to use an All-Wheel Drive chassis Dyno for demonstrating and testing their knowledge and skill in high performance engine modifications. Courses that complete the High-Performance Modification Certificate are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.
