This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Interactive Simulation and Game Technology. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn the Game Development Certificate. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

Each specialization whether ART, ANIMATION, DESIGN, or PROGRAMMING provides a foundation which will prepare students with the knowledge needed to understand how each specific role functions in a development team within the Gaming Industry. Upon completion of the chosen specialization, students will have the knowledge to build a portfolio of work which is what is required to enter the Games Industry. In addition to this certificate, students can use all the classes towards the completion of the Interactive Simulation and Game Technology AAS. Courses that complete the Game Development Certificate are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.
