Admission to the Advanced Technical Certificate Program is by completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Network Administrator and Support. This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the CCNP Network Operations Advanced Technical Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a CCNP Network Operations Advanced Technical Certificate. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

This advanced certificate will examine complex networking concepts using troubleshooting tools, containerization skills, and more sophisticated Cisco configurations. Upon completion of each CCNP course, the student will have acquired skills needed to prepare for certification exams to become a Cisco Certified Network Professional. Upon completion of each CCNP course (ITCC 2330 and ITCC 2335), the student is eligible to take the appropriate CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) credentialing exam. Courses that complete the CCNP Network Operations Advanced Technical Certificate are noted below.

ITSE 1370 – Introduction to Python Programming

ITSC 1316 – Linux Installation and Configuration

ITCC 2330 – CCNP Enterprise: Core Networking (ENCOR)*

*Upon completion of each ITCC 2330 and ITCC 2335, the student is eligible to take the appropriate CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) credentialing exam.

SEMESTER 1 ACTION ITEMS

ITCC 2335 – CCNP Enterprise: Advanced Routing (ENARSI)* This is the capstone course for this award.

*Upon completion of each ITCC 2330 and ITCC 2335, the student is eligible to take the appropriate CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) credentialing exam.
