The Mechanical Engineering pathway prepares you to enter a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas). You may need to complete additional courses, beyond those listed in this pathway, to be accepted into the Mechanical Engineering program at UT Dallas. Speak with your success coach for more information and a list of additional courses.
This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Mechanical Engineering. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Science degree, which will increase your chances of transfer to Mechanical Engineering at UT Dallas. Students who transfer to UT Dallas will not be core complete if he/she completes this degree. This degree does not include all core course requirements. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Courses that complete the degree are noted below. ENGR 2305 – Electrical Circuits I To register for ENGR 2305, you must have completed MATH 2414, PHYS 2426, and be concurrently enrolled in MATH 2420. Students must take ENGR 2305 and ENGR 2105 to receive credit for EE 1100 and EE 1201 at UTD.
