This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Insurance Customer Service Representative Level I Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Insurance Customer Service Representative Certificate. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

This certificate program will prepare students for entry-level employment in insurance customer service. Emphasis will be on the foundations of sales and maintaining customer relationships as well as managing the technical requirements of selling and navigating insurance policies.

In addition, this credential, developed in partnership with State Farm (as a Corporate Fellow Partner), will be provided as an alternative education opportunity for current State Farm employees to receive credit for knowledge they have gained on the job. This knowledge includes industry credentials such as their Property and Casualty license or AINS certification and alternative examinations and assessment. Courses that complete the Insurance Customer Service Representative Certificate are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards but must meet course prerequisites.
