This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Human Resources Management. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a Human Resources Associate Level I Certificate. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

This certificate program prepares students for entry-level positions in human resources. Students will learn best practices related to employment, employee relations, benefits/compensation as well as Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) competencies. Courses that complete the Human Resources Associate Certificate are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards but must meet course prerequisites.

HRPO 1391 – Special Topics in Human Resources Management This is the capstone course for this award.
