This guided pathway is designed to meet the needs of students who plan to major in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Dallas College will accept the UTA core curriculum requirements for the bachelor's degree as fulfilling the core requirements for the Associate of Science degree in this pathway. The Associate of Science degree in this pathway can only be completed at Dallas College in reverse transfer.
This pathway prepares you to transfer to UTA to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree that can open the door to a variety of careers, including – but not limited to: Enterprise Application Development, Software Engineering, Cloud Software Services, Computer Graphics and Visualization, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
This pathway does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. If you follow this pathway, you may be eligible to earn an Associate of Science degree when coursework from UT Arlington is received at Dallas College in reverse transfer. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Courses that complete the degree are noted below.

UTA College of Engineering has a foreign language requirement which can be satisfied by having 2 years of high school foreign language (single language), two semesters of university foreign language (single language), or if English is the student's second language.
A cumulative transfer GPA below 3.0 may result in conditional admission to the College of Engineering. Additional requirements must be satisfied in order to remain in good standing and continue as an engineering major. A grade of “C" or higher is required for all coursework in this pathway.
