This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Networking Security Awards. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a Multi-Platform Applications Developer Certificate. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
This one-year certificate option focuses on training for multi-level Android, iOS and Windows Phone platform devices. Topics include web application design and responsive layout using HTML5/CSS3, native application design and development using Java and Android Studio, core functionality and hybrid development for iOS using Objective C or Swift and Windows Phone using C# or Visual Basic. Graduates will be qualified to enter the business environment as a diverse multi-platform Mobile applications developer. Courses that complete the certificate are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.

Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1301 or equivalent experience approved by designated Information Technology personnel.
