Admission to the Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) Program is by completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design and by portfolio examination. The full-time faculty will review all portfolios. Completion of the ATC along with work experience under a qualified interior designer permits eligibility for the NCIDQ exam. The Advanced Technical Certificate does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn the Interior Design Advanced Technical Certificate in Interior Design. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements. ALL INDS courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better to advance through the program. Students must also pass a computer literacy exam to enroll in the Interior Design Program.
