This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Information Systems Administration Specialist Level I Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn the Information Systems Administration Specialist certificate. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. This certificate provides a foundation in information technologies systems used in delivering digital services. Areas of study include: Information Technology (IT) Essentials, cloud fundamentals such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), networking, security, operating systems (Windows and Linux), client services, and customer relations management support. Courses that complete this certificate and the Informations Systems Administration Foundations Certificate (AF) are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.
