This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Information Systems Administration Foundations Level I Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. This certificate is a building block towards the Information Systems Administration Specialist Level I Certificate and/or the A.A.S. degree in Internet Development Technologies. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
This certificate provides students with the foundation skills in information technology systems necessary to obtain employment as Network Administrators, Network Operations Center (NOC), Systems Engineer, Network Technician, Network Engineer, and Help Desk. Students will acquire hands-on learning experience and troubleshooting skills to serve as Information Technology support professionals. Courses that complete the certificate are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.
