This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Digital Photography/Video Level I certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a certificate in Digital Photography/Video. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
The one-year certificate program in digital photography is designed to provide students with the skills needed to work in the rapidly growing field of digital imaging and photography. To communicate visually, students will use computer software, technical and artistic photography skills. Smart phone cameras, flatbed scanners, inkjet printers, color laser printers, and other digital imaging equipment will be used, as well as film scanners, flatbed scanners, inkjet printers, color laser printers, and other digital imaging equipment. The core of this certificate is the development of industry standards with a focus on digital photography/video. Courses that complete the Certificate are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
