The guided pathway in Biology will set the foundation to discover and understand how living things work in conjunction with their surroundings while utilizing skills based upon the scientific method. An Associate of Science Field of Study in Biology degree with courses in this pathway prepares you to transfer to Texas Woman's University (TWU) to earn a bachelor's degree that opens the door to a career in research, conservation, education, biotechnology, wildlife, forensics, the environment, pharmaceuticals, and many more areas.

This pathway is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Biology. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an A.S. Field of study degree, which will increase your chances of transfer to Texas Woman's University (TWU) to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Courses that complete the degree are noted below. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See the catalog for official degree requirements. This Field of Study degree in Biology does not complete the Core.

Visit www.dcccd.edu/transfer and select “Transfer from Dallas College," then click on TWU to view more information about transferring to that institution. Speak with your success coach to choose courses that will help you pursue Biology as a major at TWU.
