This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Construction Technology Surveying Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a certificate in Surveying. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the Dallas College. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

The certificate program in Surveying addresses the skills of surveying technicians who measure and collect data on specific areas of land including information about boundaries, buildings, and features both natural and man-made. They assist surveyors, cartographers, and photogrammetrists in collecting and processing the data necessary for implementing engineering and construction projects from start to finish. Further educational opportunities allow graduates to seek Associates and Bachelor's degrees in this field. Courses that complete the certificate are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
