This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Advanced Technical Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Advanced Technical Certificate in Professional Accountancy. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
The courses in the Certificate in Professional Accountancy satisfy the accounting, research, ethics and business communication course requirements for eligibility to sit for the Certified Public Accountant Exam in the State of Texas. Courses that satisfy the business course requirements for CPA exam eligibility are also available to students but are not part of the degree plan. Candidates for this certificate must have obtained a minimum of a United States Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline prior to entering the program.
