This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing an Auto Body Technology Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Auto Body Technology Certificate. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

The Auto Body Technology Certificate is designed to train a student in all facets of auto body repair and painting.  Emphasis is placed upon those skills needed by the student to become a successful auto body repair person.  This program offers the student a certificate in auto body technology upon successful completion of the program. Courses that complete the Auto Body Technology Certificate are noted below.

ABDR 1419 – Basic Metal Repair

ABDR 1455 – Non-Structural Metal Repair

ABDR 1307 – Collision Repair Welding

SPCH 1311 – Introduction to Speech Communication This is a Core course.
