Redirect

Use to create a redirect or short URL from a URL to a section/content item on the site or external URL. Add content to branch 404 » Redirects. Once approved publish the 404 section to make a redirect live.

  • Minimum user level: Contributor
  • Use with page layouts: N/A

Redirects are published to a CSV under the 404 page, this can be downloaded by going to /404/redirects.csv.

Adding a Short URL to a Banner

A redirect can be attached to a section for it pull through to display on compatible banner content types (Banner - Interior Page, Banner - Landing Page, Banner - Top Level Landing Page). Follow steps:

  1. Create the Redirect under branch 404 » Redirects setting Redirect type to 302
  2. Go to the section and on the General tab for the Short URL element click 'Add content link':

  3. Browse to the 404 » Redirects branch, find the Redirect and select by clicking the name:

  4. Once added the section the Short URL element should look something like this, save changes to the section:

  5. The short URL will display in compatible banner content types in the bar alongside the breadcrumb:
