Stephanie Hill
Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Life and Engagement
Dr. Stephanie Hill is an authentic leader who strives to create, refine and adjust spaces for people to feel welcomed and supported. As a true follower to the mantra “love what you do,” Dr. Hill has led with a strong passion for education for three decades.
Dr. Hill currently serves as the associate vice chancellor for student life and engagement at Dallas College. In her role, she is responsible for accessibility services and student support programs and provides oversight to student life which includes student government, conduct, fitness centers and intercultural and global student engagement. Although her work touches many aspects of the college, she is guided by one core principle: valuing people.
Learning to appreciate people for who they are was a tenet in Dr. Hill’s life, as she witnessed her grandfather place value and appreciation on all people despite his own hardships. His kindness inspires her daily to lead her team with the same approach, ensuring each person feels connected and valued.
When Dr. Hill isn’t championing authenticity in the workplace or creating space for students, you can find her getting lost in the strings of her violin. As a classically trained musician, playing and composing music is a significant part of her life. She’s learned that just one moment with someone can change the trajectory of their life, and she looks forward to inspiring more moments like that with members of the community.
