Dr. Kanakala serves as the vice provost of the School of Engineering, Technology, Mathematics and Sciences at Dallas College, where he is dedicated to expanding access to STEM careers. In his role, he champions cross-disciplinary collaboration and ensures that the school’s academic programs remain aligned with evolving industry demands and student aspirations.
Mentorship has played a pivotal role in Dr. Kanakala’s leadership journey. Early in his career, a mentor helped him recognize the transformative power of technical education beyond the classroom. Through that guidance, he learned to think strategically, embrace bold decisions and stay grounded in the mission of student success.
